Cakes BlogJune 21, 2011Recent wedding cakeThis is one of my favourite cakes of the wedding season so far. It was made for the lovely Chris and Michaella’s April wedding which took place at the Medicine Garden in Cobham, Surrey. This is a beautiful venue in a walled garden which coupled with a stunning marquee made for the most beautiful country wedding setting. The colour scheme was dusky pink and sage green which we replicated in the ribbon colour on the cake. I love love love it!  Cutting the cake
 A close up of the cake June 20, 2011Heather Peace’s Gretsch guitar cakeWe were very pleased to be able to make the lovely Heather Peace a fabulous birthday cake in the shape of her beloved white Gretsch guitar. She was playing at the Gogo festival in Kent and since it coincided with her birthday, some of her dedicated fans decided to buy her a cake and here it is:  Heather Peace's birthday cake June 5, 2011Designer shoe birthday cakes -Christian Louboutin and Jimmy ChooAs much as the next girl or perhaps even more, I love designer shoes! Having bought my first pair of Aruna Seth’s recently for my wedding, I am pretty obsessed with these beauties. It seems I am not alone as we are regularly asked to make birthday cakes with sugar shoes on top for lucky lady recipients. The most popular are Christian Louboutin which I absolutely love and more recently Jimmy Choos. Whilst I would love love love to receive the shoes, I would be equally enamoured with their edible sugar cousins. They are so realistic I sometimes struggle to contain my desire to slip my foot into someones sugar shoe! I think they look amazing and hope you do too. We can make pretty much any designer shoe birthday cake so just give us a call.
